BEHIND THE SCENES: FROM LEATHER TO BAG
By developing high quality and long-lasting products, working with European factories and choosing responsible, ethically sourced and certified materials, we try to minimise our impact on the environment.
We would like to give you the opportunity to follow our journey towards more responsibility through the production of our CPH BAG 1.
GENERAL FACTS ABOUT OUR BAG PRODUCTION
We always keep an eye on the impact on the environment. Therefore, we work with Gold Standard tanneries. Using Gold Standard leather gives us the assurance that our products are environmentally friendly from the start.
We build on trust, transparency and fairness. We treat each other with respect and actively care for a better tomorrow. This is reflected in our long-term partnerships and is the reason why we only work with family-owned factories.
To ensure short production routes and a strong bond through regular visits to the production sites, our bags are made exclusively in Italy.
The production consists of many steps. Starting with the creation of the design sketch, selection of the material, cutting, assembly as well as quality control. At each step, emphasis is placed on sustainable imple- mentation. For example, when cutting, the aim is to ensure that the leather is cut in the most efficient way to avoid waste.
Afterwards steps include gluing, and flattening the leather parts. The raw edges of the leather are painted and the CPNHGN Logo is embosses on the bag. The leather parts and trims then get assembled and sewed together.
