Nachhaltigkeit
Wir möchten transparent darüber informieren, wie wir Materialien auswählen, wo unserer Schuhe hergestellt werden und welche Maßnahmen wir in der Lieferkette umsetzen.
Wir wollen dir echte Einblicke geben, zeigen, was Nachhaltigkeit für uns bedeutet, und welche Ziele wir verfolgen. Dabei setzen wir auf mehr Transparenz in unserer Kommunikation.
Ein wichtiger Teil davon: 100 % unserer Schuhe werden in der EU produziert.
Materialien
Innerhalb unserer Lederlieferkette arbeiten wir daran, den Anteil der Lieferanten mit anerkannten Zertifizierungen, durch die Leather Working Group (LWG), schrittweise zu erhöhen.
Wir arbeiten mit Gerbereien zusammen, die strenge Umweltauflagen einhalten, beispielsweise in Bezug auf Chemikalien, Abfall- und Wassermanagement. Im Folgenden stellen wir die Vorteile der Lederarten vor, die wir bei unseren Schuhen verwenden.
GLATTLEDER
Glattleder ist besonders langlebig, pflegeleicht und reparaturfreundlich. Es altert ästhetisch, benötigt weniger chemische Behandlung und sorgt dafür, dass Schuhe länger getragen werden – ein Beitrag zu nachhaltiger Nutzung.
NUBUKLEDER
Nubukleder ist weich, langlebig und atmungsaktiv. Es lässt sich bei Bedarf pflegen und reparieren, altert elegant und wird dadurch länger genutzt. So trägt es zu nachhaltigem Konsum und einer längeren Lebensdauer der Schuhe bei.
SUEDE (LEDER)
Suede ist weich, flexibel und robust. Dank seiner pflegeleichten Oberfläche und der Möglichkeit, kleinere Schäden auszubessern, behalten Schuhe aus Suede lange ihre Qualität und Schönheit, was sie zu einer nachhaltigen Wahl macht.
SCHNÜRSENKEL
Die meisten unserer Schnürsenkel bestehen aus Bio-Baumwolle.
Bio-Baumwolle wird ohne den Einsatz von künstlichen Düngemitteln, Pestiziden oder Herbiziden angebaut. Gleichzeitig wird eine Fruchtfolge eingehalten, bei der verschiedene Pflanzen abwechselnd auf dem Acker angebaut werden.
Das verbessert die Bodenfruchtbarkeit und erhöht den Humusgehalt, sodass der Boden mehr CO₂ aufnehmen kann.
Um sicherzustellen, dass unsere Produkte Bio-Baumwolle enthalten, nutzen wir etablierte Standards, zum Beispiel von Textile Exchange, zur internen Absicherung unserer Lieferkette. So schaffen wir Zuverlässigkeit von den Rohstoffen über das Garn bis hin zum Endprodukt.
VERPACKUNG
Alle Produkte werden sorgfältig verpackt, um ihr Aussehen und die Materialeigenschaften während Lagerung und Transport zuschützen.
Unsere Schuhkartons bestehen zu 90 % aus recyceltem Karton und sind FSC® („Forest Stewardship Council“) zertifiziert.
Die Kartongröße wird an das jeweilige Produktmodell angepasst. Dadurch wird das Transport- und Verpackungsvolumen optimiert. Das Füllmaterial schützt die Schuhe während des Transports vor Verformung und Abrieb.

SUSTAINABILITY
We would like to provide transparent information on how we select materials, where our shoes are manufactured and what measures we implement throughout the supply chain.
We want to give you genuine insights, show what sustainability means to us, and share the goals we are working towards. That’s why transparency is at the heart of our communication. A key part of this: 100% of our shoes are produced in the EU.
Materials
Within our leather supply chain, we are working to gradually increase the proportion of suppliers with recognised certifications from the Leather Working Group (LWG).
We work with tanneries that comply with strict environmental standards, particularly with regard to the use of chemicals, waste management, and water management. Below, we outline the benefits of the types of leather we use in our shoes.
SMOOTH LEATHER
Smooth leather is particularly durable, easy to care for, and repair-friendly.
It ages beautifully, requires fewer chemical treatments, and helps ensure that shoes are worn for longer—contributing to more sustainable use.
NUBUCK LEATHER
Nubuck leather is soft, durable and breathable. It can be looked after and repaired as needed, ages gracefully and can therefore be worn for longer. In this way, it contributes to sustainable consumption and extends the lifespan of the shoes.
SUEDE (LEATHER)
Suede is soft, flexible, and durable. Thanks to its easy-to-care-for surface and the ability to repair minor damage, shoes made from suede maintain their quality and beauty for a long time, making them a sustainable choice.
SHOE LACES
Most of our shoelaces are made from organic cotton.
Organic cotton is grown without the use of synthetic fertilizers, pesticides, or herbicides. Crop rotation is also practiced, with different plants alternated on the fields.
This improves soil fertility and increases humus content, allowing the soil to capture more CO₂.
To ensure that our products contain organic cotton, we rely on established standards, such as those from Textile Exchange, to internally secure our supply chain. This creates reliability from the raw materials through the yarn all the way to the finished product.
PACKAGING
All products are carefully packaged to protect their appearance and material properties during storage and transport.
Our shoe boxes are made from 90 per cent recycled cardboard and are FSC®-certified.
The box size is tailored to the specific product model. This optimises the transport and packaging volume. The filling material protects the shoes from deformation and abrasion during transport.
