CPH Moments – Copenhagen Fashion Week
4 days and 30 brands – On February 1st it was finally time for the Copenhagen Fashion Week 2022. Copenhagen Fashion Week is the leading Nordic biannual fashion week and takes place in January/February and August. The core focus of the event is sustainability. Copenhagen Fashion Week not only wants to make substantial changes to the way the event takes place but also wants to encourage the fashion industry to take steps towards becoming more sustainable.
During that time the German sisters and influencers Anna @annawntr and Alessa Winter @alessawinter were visiting CPHFW and they took us around, showing us their CPHFW experience.
People from all around the world were coming together in the Danish capital showing off their coolest outfits. But not only the shows were super interesting also the streets were filled with inspiration, fashion and new styling ideas. Therefore, we captured 4 big Trends for 2022 for you:
COLORS
One major trend that is very present in Copenhagen is: COLORS. People are wearing bright accessories, shoes and prints or combine many different colors together. One color that we saw everywhere is green. Stine Goya for example focused color-blocking looks and combined green with light pink whereas Samsøe Samsøe was showing allover-outfits.
BAGGY PANTS
Moreover we recognized that silhouettes got much looser – especially baggy and low waist cargo pants can be seen everywhere. They came in different materials like denim or leather and people combined them with either high heels, heavy boots or with sneakers like Anna Winter.
TAILORING
In contrast to that Tailoring was a big thing and when we talk about scandi style we can not miss minimalism. On this years’ Fashion Week the designers combined these two important topics and came out with very clean suits in neutral colors like grey or creme.
SPORTY CHIC
A last major trend that can be seen on the streets of Copenhagen is the SPORTY CHIC Look. Many Fashion Week visitors were wearing bomber jackets combined with leather pants or casual cargo pants and Sneakers like Alessa Winter. This shows that the line between High Fashion and Sportswear is getting blurry and we really like that. What about you?
We hope, that we could inspire you with our Copenhagen Fashion Week Insights. Show us how you implement these trends with the hashtag #copenhagenstudios.
We can’t wait to see your styling ideas!
