5 Personal Places in Copenhagen – with Katarina and Johanne Krebs
Together with Katarina Krebs, a young fashion influencer from Denmark and her younger sister Johanne Krebs we spent a whole day following them to their favourite places around Scandinavia’s metropolis, Copenhagen.
This is the kickoff of our new Series: 5 Personal Places where we follow locals around Copenhagen to inspire you regarding fashion, lifestyle and other relevant topics directly from this beautiful city.
Place one: Their favourite spot for Coffee and Breakfast – Coffee Collective
One of the sister’s favourite cafés is called Coffee Collective. It’s quite popular in Copenhagen as it is a well-known place for good coffee and the most delicious pastries such as their famous cardamom buns. The sisters like to meet here at the weekends to spend some quality hours and enjoy a good breakfast together before they take a walk around the beautiful neighbourhood.
Place two: Their favourite Vintage Store – Hjertens Genburg
Not infrequently their walk leads them to one of their personal favourite vintage stores in Copenhagen. A paradise for all second-hand lovers: Hjertens Genburg.
Since the store is in the same neighbourhood as the café, it only takes you up to 10 min to walk there. Not only do they offer selected clothing pieces but also adorable tableware – a local insider tip and “a place where you can spend hours” as Katarina told us. Maybe you will find your next vintage treasures here.
Place three: Authentic Scandi looks – Second hand Boutique Chamoi
After rummaging around in Hjertens Genburg the sisters brought us to a busier street in Nørrebro, one of the younger and more vibrant districts of Copenhagen. Here you will find several different Vintage Stores and boutiques, such as boutique chamoi. They offer selected designer pieces and items that reflect authentic Scandinavian style clothing. The sisters recommended this place as one of their personal highlights when it comes to shopping, because you will always find cool and special vintage pieces to combine with your daily looks.
Place four: Flower Store – Den Franske Anemone
As the two love to decorate their apartments with fresh flowers our next stop led us to their favourite flower store right next to Boutique Chamoi. They offer a wide range of different flowers in every colour you can think of. Of course, we chose a cute arrangement for their homes and got ready to end the day at the last stop of their five personal places.
Place five: Drinks in – Kolster’s Tolv Haner
Johanne, who also studies in Copenhagen, told us that the Kolster’s Tolv Haner pub is very popular around Danish students. She likes to toast here to her passed exams with some friends and to enjoy sunny days on the pub’s outdoor benches. The sisters also refered to go for a walk in the Hans Tavsens park nearby. Locals love to sit here and enjoy the sun after a busy day in the city.
After a very amusing day full of new impressions, we say goodbye to the two sisters Katarina and Johanne and watch them walking away into Copenhagen’s nightlife.
We feel so inspired from their personal places and are now more than curious if you feel the same.
Tell us about your favourite spots in Copenhagen if you have ever visited and don’t forget to share it @copenhagen_studios.
