Amsterdam Guide: 5 Things to do in Amsterdam
The young creator @brunabear and her boyfriend @koenmuller took us with them on a day spent in the beautiful capital of the Netherlands, Amsterdam.
The city is full of creative artist, young students, lots of coffee places and unique boutiques.
Sounds good? Have a look and follow them around their personal favourite places wearing our CPNHGN Summer Styles.
Ferry to the north of Amsterdam
As the cities streets are very tight and the canals are the main way to get through Amsterdam, they decided to explore the city by bike. It is the most convenient and fastest option if you want to get from A to B, as they tell us. The ferry is relatively huge, so they could bring their bike and explore the north of Amsterdam, their first stop of the day.
Lunch at Kometen Brood Cafe
For lunch the both went to their favorite cafe in the north of Amsterdam called Kometen Brood. It’s located in a hidden backyard with lots of greenery in front of the entrance. The place is very bright and openly designed. You can watch the bakers while preparing the dough for an excellent sourdough bread and the baristas from every side of the room while they pour you the perfect latte. A very calm and chilled place.
Break by the water
After a short lunch break they went for a walk by the canal, close to the ferry.
@brunabear playing it very casual with wide legged trousers, an oversized leather jacket and the highlight of her outfit – our CPH834 nappa milky brown. @koenmueller matches perfectly with her as he is also wearing a leather jacket, combined with our CPH168M vitello white/black sneakers. The walls around the riverbank are painted with very cool street art, so it is the perfect spot for a walk together.
Vintage shopping at Collector’s Cage
Their next stop is a vintage store house near the riverbank where you can find lots of vintage mid-century furniture. The place is very large with a wide range of perfectly selected pieces. It is the go to place if you are on the hunt for some unique pieces that are timeless but still affordable.
You can really spent hours and hours here and get lost between all the beautiful and special pieces and because time went by so fast their last activity of the day was dinner at Cafe Metro.
Dinner at Cafe Metro
Metro is their favourite dinner spot in Amsterdam and the perfect place to end such a beautiful and busy day. It’s well furnished with lots of cute and colourful, Scandinavian designer pieces.
They shared a strawberry cake and a tarte that was made from nuts.
@brunabear says that they always share desert when they are here, because besides everything else, the cakes are also a must try!
