We had the incredible opportunity to once again team up with the Berlin based artist Elisa Klinkenberg. This time to design an exclusive Sneaker Capsule that celebrates the fusion of aesthetics, versatility & style.
Elisa Klinkenberg is not only a true original from Berlin but also a former professional tennis player until one injury forced her to give up on that passion and explore something different. Due to that she transitioned from the tennis court to the canvas, where she now expresses her admiration for tennis through captivating paintings.
But still: One dream remains: „I would love to play a match against Roger Federer.“ – Elisa Klinkenberg.
The collection
Together, we created a shoe capsule themed around the four major tennis tournaments; blending Elisa‘s passion for tennis and art with our signature touch of craftsmanship and simplicity. Every style has its own unique look and therefore tells its own story which makes the Elisa Klinkenberg X Copenhagen Studios capsule even more special.
Melbourne – CPH MELBOURNE leather white/light blue
Kicking off the year with the famous Australian Open, we wanted to catch the vibrant energy of Melbourne during that time. Elisa’s design embodies the colorful diversity and electrifying atmosphere of the tournament. With blue hard courts and the burning Australian heat as its backdrop, the CPH MELBOURNE reminds us to embrace life’s spontaneity and find inspiration in every moment: Make life your court.
Paris – CPH Paris leather white/orange
As spring unfolds, the tennis world turns its attention to Paris for the French Open. Played on the iconic red clay courts, the CPH PARIS exudes playful elegance, mirroring the glory of the „terre battue“. It’s a celebration of modernity and cultural richness, combining the city’s attention to detail and its undying love – Paris is all about AMOUR.
London – CPH LONDON leather white/green
Steeped in tradition and history, Wimbledon takes center stage in the heart of London. With its pristine grass courts and timeless elegance, the CPH LONDON pays homage to the oldest tennis tournament in the world. Adorned in classic white and with strawberries, the sneaker reflects the grace and refinement of English etiquette, reminding us of the allure of tradition.
