COPENHAGEN SCANDI STREET STYLE LOOKS – MODEL AND VIDEO TALK

Trends come and go, but certain styles last forever – such as the scandi look. The golden rule for the scandi style is to find a balance between beauty and functionality. Due to the fact that most of the scandi-women are practical oriented and mobile.

Moreover, Scandinavians emphasis on quality. A typical Scandinavian look consists of a jeans, a wool or cashmere pullover, classic shoes – no matter if a chunky boot or sneaker – and trendy accessories. They love to wear qualitative bags and classic and timeless jewelry. For the Scandinavians it is important to feel good and comfy while wearing an outfit. Therefore, the scandi style is characterized by casualness with a sensitiveness for details.

The times of a scandi-style with only simple basics in grey and black is over – Scandinavians love to wear details with intense colors and conspicuous patterns. They are the role model for experimenting with fashion.

The scandi looks were shot at the street style photo and video shooting in Copenhagen by photographer @jeremy.moeller and the videographer team @Feelming with the two Danish models Amelie Moosgaard Nielsen and Cecilie Moosgaard Nielsen. We interviewed those two beauties to get a deep dive into the scandi style world:

How would you describe the typical skandi look?

A typical scandi look is effortless and practical – we would say that everybody in Copenhagen look so put together and stylish, but they are also prepared for rain showers or a windstorm anytime.“

What do you think about the COPENHAGEN STUDIOS A/W collection?

Perfect for the colder months that are coming up!“

Which one is your Favorite shoe?

We both like a classic black boot, so I think they must be our favorite.“

The whole shoot was planned primarily as a video shoot to have video footage for our social media channels. For this, the video production team Feelming accompanied us.

Mario is the founder of Feelming & started the company 6 years ago. The concept was born from his hobby skateboarding at that time. Now they work with many well-known brands worldwide. For our blogpost, Nico and Mario told us a bit more about their company:

What makes your work stand out:

Nico :Basically, we come from advertising. That means we work with advertising techniques and storytelling techniques that you know from the 30 second commercials. Now comes with social media a whole new branch where we can enter.“

Mario: Moving image content is currently being pushed extremely by the algorithm on Instagram, for example, and for this reason it is important for companies to work with video material and use them to position their brand, and we are there to help with our tools.“

Why is video so important in storytelling?
