COPENHAGEN OPENS
ITS FIRST STORE IN COLOGNE

As of Saturday September 28th Copenhagen has officially become a part of Cologne. The Danish footwear brand COPENHAGEN opened its first store on Apostelnstraße.

Within a retail space of 75 square meters, visitors get to explore trending Scandinavian designs, like the bestselling sneaker „CPH40“ or leather boots for fall and winter.

THE OPENING

The two founders celebrated together with more than 300 guests, including influencers such as Novalanalove, Diana zur Loewen, Yvonne Pferrer, MichivonWant, ShopaholicGirl and Carmushka.

STORE CONCEPT

The store’s understated Scandinavian interior – where wood meets green plants and muted tones – is in line with COPENHAGEN’s design philosophy: based on natural, high-quality materials, true craftsmanship, a minimalistic style and attention to detail.

During the opening event on Saturday, the two founders were selling the footwear themselves and customers could have their new shoes personalised instore.

„EMBRACING THE MOMENTS THAT MATTER.
ANYWHERE, ANYTIME, TOGETHER „

is written in bold letters on the wall of the new store. The sentence is one of COPENHAGEN’s guiding principles. Thus, the opening was celebrated together with special partners, most of them Scandinavian brands.

There was Smørrebrød from Oskar Davidson, Carlsberg beer and Somersby cider. And also organic popcorn from Heimatgut, liquorice from Lakrids by Bülow and coffee from Van Dyck, authentically served from their espresso-bike. All of them owning a keen awareness for people and the environment.
