COPENHAGEN STUDIOS SUPPORTS UN WOMEN GERMANY WITH A DONATION
UN Women Germany supports the work of UN Women for gender equality and the empowerment of women. For us, it is important to support not only environmental sustainability, but also economic and social sustainability for each and everyone. Women in particular are still facing huge difficulties when it comes to equality in several aspects of life. The aim of this years international women’s day theme is to get society taking a deeper look on intersectionality and equity beyond equality.
It recognizes that each person has different circumstances, and allocates the exact resources and opportunities needed to reach an equal outcome. When we embrace equity, diversity and inclusion which leads to giving everyone what they need to be successful. Thats why we decided to make a donation to UN Women Germany. UN Women fights for equity for every gender and is actively strengthening women around the globe to provide every girl and woman a safe space to exercise their voice. A place where they are free from violence, benefit from humanitarian action equally and close the gender pay gap.
What can UN Women achieve with the help of supporters like us?
UN WOMEN helps provide governments and organizations with the knowledge and tools to become more aware of the urgent need for equal rights – especially for girls and women around the globe – and supports them with strategies that fight the existing status quo.
This includes strengthening laws and policies, providing equitable access to services and resources, monitoring representation of women in public life and engaging society to rethink stereotypical beliefs and attitudes around gender. Inequality is a multi-layered topic and a structural problem that needs structural solutions. But we as society are all part of the process and can actively take part in the change process, especially with tools and education provided by organizations like UN Women. With their work they contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals. This initiative contains a strategic plan that summarizes every formulated goal from above. Always with the aim of empowering every girl and woman to raise their voice in order to achieve gender equality.
